Alex leads the debt investing platform, overseeing the origination and acquisition of loans and debt securities, capital markets activities, and management of the debt portfolio.

Before joining the team, Alex led the commercial real estate lending platform for LStar Capital, Lone Star’s credit platform. In addition to developing LStar Capital’s commercial real estate debt investment strategy, Alex managed the origination and capital markets teams that originated loans for all major property types across the United States and securitized loans through the LSTAR new-issue CMBS program.

Prior to LStar Capital, Alex was a Director at Hudson Advisors, the internal advisor for the Lone Star Funds, where he focused on the acquisition, analysis, and structuring of commercial real estate investments. Alex also held various roles at Wells Fargo Securities, and legacy Wachovia Securities, where he worked on the trading, banking, and structuring of commercial real estate structured debt products.

Alex holds a B.S. degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
